Kawartha Conservation is seeking qualified contractors to provide road grading and maintenance services for the 2026 season at Ken Reid Conservation Area in Lindsay, Ontario. The project includes maintaining approximately 2.8 km of roadway to ensure safe and reliable conditions for public use. Work will be completed on an as-needed basis throughout the 2026 season and will include a minimum of three (3) gradings, with additional maintenance as required. Services include restoring road crown, addressing surface deficiencies such as washboarding and potholes, maintaining proper drainage, and supplying and placing gravel as needed. Qualified proponents must demonstrate experience in gravel road grading, equipment operation, and working in environmentally sensitive or public-use areas. This Request for Proposal closes on May 1st, 2026 at 4:00pm. Kawartha Conservation intends to notify the preferred proponent by May 6th, 2026. Work is expected to commence shortly thereafter, with a preferred start date of May 13, 2026. Proponents may propose alternative timelines where justified. |
